Lysaght & Associates was established in 2014 as a structural and civil engineering consultancy with the purpose of providing a locally based service to Mid-Canterbury and the wider Canterbury region. A locally based engineering consultancy service was missing from the area that could provide a timely and efficient face-to-face service to local businesses and the community.
We are focused on providing an excellent Client interface and providing designs that meet the Clients brief, are buildable and comply with all legislation. We have an excellent working relationship with the local Council and other local Authorities.
Our Managing Director Kelvin Lysaght is a Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand, a Chartered Professional Engineer CPEng(Structural)NZ and a UK Chartered Structural Engineer with 39 years Construction experience in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the United Kingdom and Ireland working for Engineering Consultants, Light Steel & Modular building System Manufacturers and Local Government ,mostly in the field of Building and Industrial Design. He has 22 years experience in Consulting Engineering, 12 years experience in Offsite Construction in Ireland and the UK and 5 years experience in Local Government building compliance in NZ.
